'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wigan Athletic Go Dutch

The Latics are set to embark on a 5 day training expedition to Holland; they fly out tomorrow (Sunday) and return next Friday

Whilst away the club will play their first friendlies of the pre-season against local sides FC Zwolle and FC Den Bosch

Latics manager Chris Hutchings is determined to have his side firing on all cylinders before the first game of the new season away at Everton on 11th August

Other pre-season games include:

Wednesday 25th July Blackpool away

Saturday 28th July Halifax away

Tuesday 31st July Barnsley away

Saturday 4th August Leeds Utd away

The Dutch trip will also give the new signings a chance to bond with their new team mates and hopefully develop a good team spirit

Are you happy with the pre-season schedule or would you have liked to have seen more 'stiff` opposition?

I am a bit disapoointed that the club have not arranged any home friendlies and would have liked at least one game against a quality side to stretch us a little
