Wigan - Hutch a big fan of trips

Latics manager Chris Hutchings told the official web site that he is a big fan of pre-season trips as the team jetted off on the training trip to Holland.

The squad left this morning and Chris declared that it gives the new lad`s a chance to 'bed-in`.

He went on to say that one of the reasons why the Latics have been so active in the transfer market early doors was to get the players in before this trip

Hutch claims that there is still one or two pieces of the jig-saw left to put into place before the transfer window shuts.

The one or two could possibly be West Ham`s Marlon Harewood and Fulham`s Michael Brown, although the Latics manager has stated that he wants a left back as cover for Bainesy

Wigan 1-2 Bradford Match Report

Latics dropped to a deserved 1-2 defeat at the hands of Bradford, our first loss at home in the league since March. It was an off-day, defence looked shaky from the off and once Nick Powell went off injured, we never really threatened to score. We are back at the DW on Tuesday against Doncaster Rovers, an opportunity to get back on track.

Paul Cook named an unchanged side from our last league game, with Michael Jacobs returning to the starting line-up.
