Spurs player on Wigan rumour mill

Danny Murphy is once again linked with a move to Wigan Athletic following the collapse of the Harewood deal

With Aston Villa taking West Ham`s out of favour striker and Fulham`s Michael Brown no closer to joining the Latics, Murphy is being touted as a possible signing

It is no secret that Hutch wants more competition in midfield

The Latics boss also wants a combative player in there, but is Murphy the player who fits the bill?

Murphy`s agent, it appears, is doing his best to get Danny Boy out of White Hart Lane

The former Liverpool and England midfielder is being linked to a return to Charlton as well as our near neighbours and good friends Bolton.

Is this just speculation or is there any truth in the reports, only time will tell.

Would Murphy be a good signing for the Latics?

This is an old one that seems to have been rekindle either by the news agencies or Murphy's agent. Would sooner have Brown, but if he don't come maybe Murphy could do a job for us

as a spurs fan seeing both in action many times I would take murphy over brown. brown gives his all butto be honest he doesn't have much to give where as murphy is a talented playmaker and has a good shot/cross him.
