Wigan Double Dutch

The Latics ended their pre-season tour of Holland with a 2 - 0 win at Dutch second division side FC Den Bosch

Manager Hutch made several changes form Tuesday nights match against FC Zwolle with Chris Kirkland taking over in goal from Mike Pollitt and Andreas Granqvist coming in to replace Emerson Boyce at centre half

Emile Heskey opened the scoring after 30 minutes in a game dominated by the Latics, he slotted the ball passed the home keeper following a wonderful pass by Jason Koumas

Paul Scharner had a solid game in midfield and rounded of his performance and Latics scoring with 4 minutes left to play

He weaved his way through the Den Bosch defence and calmly slotted home.

There were several changes in the second half, notably young Polish player Tomasz Koupisz who replaced Jason Koumas

The game signalled the end of Wigan`s Dutch adventure and the team will return home tomorrow

The next game is Wednesday 25th July when the Latics face Blackpool at Bloomfield Road
