Wigan Hutch pleased with Dutch trip

The official web site reports that Latics manager Chris Hutchings is delighted with the way the jolly jaunt to Holland went this last week

The team played two games against Dutch second division sides, won them both, and spent time together bonding as a unit and getting in some graft.

Hutch declared that the week was all about fitness levels and stepping it up in preparation for the first game at Everton.

He said the two games were useful but the next phase of friendlies back in England will be more physically demanding with the likes of Blackpool and Halifax wanting to 'get stuck in` against the Premiership team.

Hutch closed his comments on the official site by saying he was very pleased with how the new lads had settled in and commented that Wigan have a special team spirit
