Wigan`s Denny best yet to come

Wigan Athletics` Holland international midfielder Denny Landzaat insists he is to stay at the JJB with the promise of a lot more to come from the former Ajax and AZ Alkmaar star.

Despite interest from Feyenoord Denny wants to stay at the JJB and help both the club and himself progress

Landzaat reckons that playing with the Latics in the Premiership can only benefit him and the Dutch national side

He told AD Sportwereld "The level of play in the Premier League is enormous. Each week you play against big clubs"

Landzaat went on to say that he is becoming stronger playing for the Latics and that can only be of benefit for the national side

The 31 year old says that he still feels that he needs to prove himself; if the goal at the Emirates can be re-produced a few times this season then Chris Hutchings will be a happy man

Will Landzaat make the Latics midfield his own this season?

Landzaat can have a good season if we play through the middle and not just hoof it up field like we did for 75% of last season
