Keane puts Everton in the Baines

Roy Keane reckons that Wigan Athletic left back, Leighton Baines didn`t sign for Sunderland because he is waiting on a move to Everton reports the BBC

Wasn`t it Keane who told Hutchings to stop meddling in other peoples business?

Looks like the jolly Irishman is still up to his old tricks trying to influence and unsettle opponents a trait that he worked as a player at Manchester United

Sunderland lost out on Baines, even though they put in at least four separate bids to the Latics, because Bainesy didn`t want to sign for them.

Now it appears he has launched a parting shot, again to unsettle his opponents

He told the BBC that football is a small world, and that he`d heard on the grapevine that Bainesy had his heart set on a move to Everton

Everton are reported to be interested, but only at their price and in instalments, well it don`t work like that.

Baines has still got two years on his contract at the JJB and there is no reason for the Latics to sell at the moment, in fact quite the opposite as Bainesy is the only left back at the club

Thanks Mr Keane, but stop meddling in other peoples business
