Wigan Athletic Ask the Fan Pt 2

Wigan Athletic Ask the Fan Pt 2

As part of the run in to the new season Vital Wigan talks to the Latics fans

The second interview in the series is with Vital Wigan regular and recent competition winner nicol467 lets see what he says

1 - How long have you been following Latics and what got you started?

About 10 years, season ticket holder for the last 4, I got started because I played for them at youth level.

2 - What is your most memorable moment as a Latics fan? Good or Bad.

Wigan Athletic Vs Reading 3-1 Latics it was the greatest moment of my life.

3 - Since you have been following Latics what would your Best Eleven be? And who is your all time favourite player?

1. John Filan
2. Pascal Chimbonda
3. Arry DeZeeuw
4. Mat Jackson
5. Leighton Baines
6. Gary Teale
7. Jimmy Bullard
8. Graham Kavanagh
9. Lee McCulloch
10. Nathan Ellington
11. Jason Roberts

Fav player? - Sir Jimmy Bullard

4 - What would you say is the best goal you have seen Latics score?

Leighton Baines 35 yarder against Ipswich his first ever goal.

5 - Best away ground visited?

Millennium Stadium (Poor Result Though)

6 - What are your expectations for the new season?

I expect us to stay up but hope we can push on to the next level and show everyone we are not little Wigan anymore.

7- Are you pleased with the new signings made so far and is there any other player you would have liked to have seen us sign (realistically)?.

Like all of the new signings. (Especially Koumas, Bramble and Sibierski)
I would love to see Leroy Lita and Robbie Savage at the club.

8 - What are your thoughts on how last season ended and how did it compare to your expectations?

I had heart problems on the last day of the season one of the greatest days ever though at Bramall Lane. I have a lot of respect for Sheff Utd they handled themselves very well and in my opinion were cheated out of a premiership place by West Ham.

9 -Despite the new signings, are there any areas in the side you think need adding to?

New Classy Striker hard man in the middle of the park and a versatile defender.

10 - Where do you sit at JJB?

East Stand Near the away supporters on the top row with all the hooligans.

Thanks for that nicol467 some good answers there

In this post-fact world, it is difficult to know who you can trust.
