It`s being reported in several news outlets that Wigan`s Leighton Baines could be the subject of bids from either Liverpool or Manchester United depending on the outcome of the Gabrielle Heinze saga
Heinze appears to be keen for a move away from Old Trafford and is wanted by Liverpool but United are reluctant to sell the Argentina international to one of their fiercest rivals
If Heinze does leave United then they could turn to Baines as a possible replacement, if Liverpool fail to get Heinze then they will turn to Baines to fill their left back roll
There is also interest from abroad for Heinze and United appear to be willing to sell if indeed Heinze does move abroad this could then spark a tug of war between the two North West giants for Baines
Also in the equation are Everton and Manchester City, once the bidding starts Everton could find themselves unable to compete with the financial muscle of the three other clubs
This little saga could run right up to the transfer deadline and advice to Baines must be sit tight and weigh up all the options before making your choice
If I was Baines I`d stay put at the Latics
He`s guaranteed to play every week and the club are willing to make him the top earner at the JJB, he could sit tight and review his situation in January
If you was Baines what would you do?
