Wigan - Baines Offer Accepted

Wigan Athletic chairman told BBC sport that the club had received an acceptable offer of 'big` money from an unnamed club, believed to be Everton

Whelan was conducting an interview about his decision to sell Wigan Warriors Rugby League club when he was questioned about Baines

Dave Whelan said that the decision to sell Baines was left to John Benson and Chris Hutchings and that he had no dealings with that side of running the club

Whelan claimed that there had been several bids made for the under 21 international over the past few days

Baines, who was at Goodison Park on Tuesday evening looks set to be named an Everton player later today and his departure will leave Latics facing a crisis at left back with the Robinson transfer collapsing

In the interview Whelan said that he couldn`t run both clubs (Warriors and Latics) and that he wanted to concentrate on the football team which he has no intention of selling

Baines gone are the Warriors to follow?
