Wigan Athletic Ask the Fan Pt 8

Wigan Athletic Ask the Fan Pt 8

As part of the run in to the new season Vital Wigan talks to the Latics fans

The eighth interview in the series is with Vital Wigan new comer GroovRdr lets see what he says

1 - How long have you been following Latics and what got you started?

Erm my 5th year this season I think.....and my uncle has supported them all his life so I suppose Wigan have always been in my family

2 - What is your most memorable moment as a Latics fan? Good or Bad.

The promotion game against Reading I`ll never forget....but also Henry's free kick against us....I was just walking up the stairs to go and get a pie, turned around and bang, Back of the net!!....his smug look on his face as well after he had scored just topped it off, but Ill let him off because its Henry lol....

3 - Since you have been following Latics what would your Best Eleven be?

And who is your all time favourite player?

1.Filan
2.Chimbonda
3.DeZeeuw
4.Scharner
5.Baines
6.Valencia
7.Bullard
8.Landzaat
9.McCulloch
10.Roberts
11.Ellington

Fav player?

At the moment has to be Valencia....Although he does look too much like Michael Jackson lol....He'll be much better this year I`m sure of it!

4 - What would you say is the best goal you have seen Latics score?

Bullard`s goal against West Brom was amazing....I was stood with my uncle at the top of the stand and to beat West Brom in the final minute and to rub Ellington`s face in it was Priceless

5 - Best away ground visited?

Old Trafford or Millennium Stadium

6 - What are your expectations for the new season?

Anything above relegation id be happy with.....I think our midfield is much stronger this season

7- Are you pleased with the new signings made so far and is there any other player you would have liked to have seen us sign (realistically)?.

I feel the signings made already have been great, but we really need a great striker to play off Heskey.

8 - What are your thoughts on how last season ended and how did it compare to your expectations?

A bit disappointed on how we just fell away towards the second half of the season but glad we stayed up, that`s all that counted last season.

9 -Despite the new signings, are there any areas in the side you think need adding to?
Striker & Another centre back

10 - Where do you sit at JJB?

West Stand, to the right of our dugout, WS6 row D
