Wigan's Trio of Sports
Sky Sports are reporting that Lancashire County Cricket Club are considering an offer from Wigan Council to move from Old Trafford to a new 90-acre site south of Wigan.
This would mean that Wigan would be the centre of sport in Britain, hosting top teams from the three major national sports. Wigan Athletic in Football, Lancashire County in Cricket and Orrell in Rugby. (Wigan Warriors don't count because Rugby League is not major, it's not national and it's not even a sport)

Haha... I hope we don't get any Rugby League visitors passing through! Trafford park is hardly the most well equipped and glamorous of locations. It does have heritage though and perhaps this stands for more in Cricket than football.
