Wigan interseted in Williams
Latics boss Chris Hutchings was at Sincil Bank this week to watch the Lincoln City and Scunthorpe United pre-season game
He was there reportedly with one eye on The Irons left back Marcus Williams
Williams had a request to be put on the transfer list by the League One Champions back in June as he sees his future else where
The Latics are in the hunt for at least one left sided defender and an up and coming player like Williams might just fit the bill
The Irons are managed by ex-Latics keeper Nigel Adkins who sees 21 year old Williams as part of his plans for keeping Scunny in the Championship next season
Whether Chris Hutchings was impressed or not by what he saw remains to be seen
