Wigan wait for transfer news

Earlier in the week Wigan Athletic manager Chris Hutchings stated that he was happy with the squad but still wanted another two player to come in, hopefully before the weekend

Just one more day to go Hutch any progress?

I like most Latics supporters am praying that we get at least one, a left back, into the club before the opener against Everton on Saturday

With Baines being sold, and before that injured, it was apparent that the left back situation was of high importance on the recruitment list

West Brom`s Paul Robinson almost became a Latics player early last week but when that fell through where was plan 'B`, surely there must have been one, wasn`t there?

If, as it appears, Kevin Kilbane is going to play left back at Everton on Saturday, then Mikel Arteta must be rubbing his hands

With all due respect to Kilbane he aint no left back

Hutch has made a cracking start to life in charge of the Latics

Some excellent signings have been made and he says all the right things to get the fans excited, but I hope this left back slot doesn`t become his Achilles Heal

Would you play Kilbane at left back if needed or would you place another defender there such as Melchiot?

Wigan are nailed on certainties for relegation. No one decent has signed for them and no one will.
