The Grass Isn`t Always Greener

Switched on the TV this morning and who`s on Sky`s Goals on Sunday?

Chris Hutchings and Paul Jewell.

Good to see them both enjoying a laugh with another of their old mates Chris Kamara.

Interesting quote from Hutch when being asked about why the club let Baines go even though he was under contract.

First of all Jewell butted in and talked about the negative affect unhappy players have on the club and how Chimbonda was dragging his feet around the place when he a move to Spurs

Hutch then said that Baines had indicated that he wanted to talk to Sunderland and the club knew then that he wanted to leave.

Hutch said that he had talked at length to Baines and that`s why he agreed to sell him

He also said that players think they`ll be better off else where but the grass isn`t always greener.

On Baines` replacement Hutch said that he was working on it.

This was the first time that I have seen Chris Hutchings talking football and he came across well

He was very positive about the Latics and also mentioned that season tickets had sold well

He went on to say that the club should win it`s home games and with two coming up this week against Middlesbrough and Sunderland he was expecting points on the board

All in all an enjoyable Sunday mornings viewing
