This Saturday Wigan Athletic travel to London to take on West Ham in what should be an interesting encounter to say the least
In the run up to the game I managed to speak to Vital West Ham editor HenryW15 and asked him a few questions about West Ham, the Latics and Saturdays match, lets see what he had to say
How long have you been a West Ham supporter Henry?
Around eighteen years now.
Born into a Wimbledon supporting family I didn't fancy it and West Ham caught my eye when I was five or six.
Are you pleased with your start to the new season?
It'll do - we've played less games than others but the result as Birmingham will be the foundations of our season, from then we can build on it and beat you at the weekend!
How's life under Alan Curbishley?
Satisfactory, he does have a habit of falling out with players but on the whole he's a good manager.
I'm not convinced Eggy thinks the same so he's under pressure and scrutiny all the time, which I suppose is a good thing as he knows he has to work hard to stay in the job.
What are your thoughts on last season dramatics?
Although not many other Hammers fans may agree, I feel a degree of sympathy for Sheffield United. But at the end of they day, they weren't good enough to beat you lot at home and we stayed up.
Are you happy with your summer signings?
Yes - could still do with a left-back and possibly a striker. The players we've already signed will add great depth to the squad.
Who should the Latics fans watch out for in the West Ham team?
I say this every week, Dean Ashton. He should start, and after a year out he wants to be back and better than ever.
Etherington is on form, as is Mark Noble, and Kieron Dyer will want to impress on his home debut.
How do you feel West Ham will do this season?
Mid table mediocrity, while we build the squad up for brighter and better things in the next couple of years.
How do feel the Latics will do this season?
Before the season started I thought you'd struggle, but you've done will with a comedic bunch - I never thought the likes of Heskey, Bramble et al would ever do well, but they're proving me wrong.
Many thought Jewell and a couple of important players leaving would rock you but Hutchins has obviously steadied the ship.
If you had to pick one of the current Latics players to be in your squad who would it be and why?
Chris Kirkland - one of England's best goalkeepers when injury free.
Who do you think will finish in the top 4 and bottom 3 this season?
Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal
Birmingham, Bolton and Derby
Prediction for Hammers v Latics?
2-1 home win, Ashton and Bellamy on the score sheet.
Thanks for that Henry and good luck for the season, after Saturday of course
