Wigan Player of the Month for August

Wigan Player of the Month for August

Voting is now taking place on Latics player of the month in our new poll

There have been some surprise performances since the season started, both from new comers and established Latics players

Titus Bramble has settled in well and put in some solid displays in the centre of the defence alongside Andreas Granqvist who has been a revelation this season

The much maligned Kevin Kilbane has given his all in the absence of a recognised left back and surprised a lot of people with the level of his performance, my self included

All across the midfield the performances have been good and Jason Koumas has brought in some much needed flair

Up front Emile Heskey continues where he left off last season and Antoine Sibierski knocked in three goals in his first three games for the Latics

So have your say and vote on who you feel was the Latics player of the month and join the debate on the subject register , simply click the link and enjoy getting involved

Wigan 1-2 Bradford Match Report

Latics dropped to a deserved 1-2 defeat at the hands of Bradford, our first loss at home in the league since March. It was an off-day, defence looked shaky from the off and once Nick Powell went off injured, we never really threatened to score. We are back at the DW on Tuesday against Doncaster Rovers, an opportunity to get back on track.

Paul Cook named an unchanged side from our last league game, with Michael Jacobs returning to the starting line-up.
