Heskey deservedly in England squad

Emile Heskey deserves to be back in the England squad, who says so? 85% of the voters in our last poll that`s who and I would agree

A superb start to the season by the big man led to England boss Steve McClaren calling Heskey up for the qualifiers against Israel and Russia.

With Crouch suspended and Rooney injured options to the forward line are limited to Everton`s Andy Johnson, not exactly international class or a couple of Tottenham reserves in Darren Bent and Jermaine DeFoe.

To revert back to the Heskey Owen forward line of 3 years ago to some will be seen as a backward step, then again they have probably not seen Heskey play since his days at Liverpool and therefore have no right whatsoever to comment on his inclusion in the national squad

Too many so called football experts have unfounded opinions of Heskey, the guy is class, pure and simple, he wont score thirty goals a season but he will create countless chances for others and he will chip in himself

We need to create chances at international level and with Heskey to feed off Owen will get plenty

What the poll asked - Should Heskey be back in the England squad?

How you voted - Yes 85%, no 15%

Current Poll - Today the Latics have been charged by the FA with failing to control their players during the game at Newcastle last weekend

The incidents in question followed the ridiculous sending off of Kevin Kilbane and another incident of Andreas Granqvist being clearly pushed but getting no foul.

There was no great melee of players pushing the referee just a couple questioning his decision and yet we see week in week out Chelsea, Arsenal and Man U players surrounding refs and trying to influence decisions, so the question is - 'Do the Latics get treated less favourably than the 'bigger` clubs by referees and the FA?`

Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

The poll can be accessed on the right side of this page

It seems that all the so called smaller clubs are getting no favours from the refs or the powers that be
