Pollsters were wrong

The voters on the last poll on Vital Wigan opted for a home win for the Latics and judging by some of the comments that were left on the message board most were confident of an easy victory

How wrong we were

The Latics never got into gear until a brief spell in the final ten minutes of the game, at times the players looked as though they had met for the first time just prior to kick off

After such a bright start to the season it was extremely disappointing to see a return to the ways of last season, panic football and no fight in the team

We did have three big players missing in Heskey (for must of the game), Landzaat and Valencia and Kilbane was missed if the truth be told, but the passion should have still been there, lets hope it returns for the Reading game

What the poll asked - Who will win on Saturday

How you voted - Latics win 68%, Fulham win 21%, Draw 11%

Current Poll - Whilst we are talking about yesterday`s game there were on or two players who still came out with their heads held high

Koumas scored his first goal for the Latics and Bramble, as ever was a rock at the back, Kirkland produced some good saves and Skoko made a huge difference when he was introduced in the second half.

These are my contenders but who would you choose as - 'Latics man of the match in the Fulham game?` Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

The poll can be accessed on the right side of this page
