Skoko to Stoko?

Wigan Athletic’s Australian midfielder Josip Skoko is being linked with a move to Stoke City, possibly on loan.

30 year-old Skoko has only made three Premiership starts since his move from Turkish side Genclerbirligi and will be looking for more regular football ahead of the World Cup.

He has mainly featured in cup games this season and, with Wigan's defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup on Saturday, may find his opportunities limited in the Latics' side.

His arrival was hyped up but he never really got going in the team. His best game was against Newcastle in the cup. I don't think we'll miss him if he goes.
