The Latics Speyk fantasy league has had a front runner all season, the team X42, the manager Jeneen Mullan, a woman of mystery.
So we decided to track down Jen, break through the mystery and find what her secret to success is.
Hi Jen you are doing really well in the Fantasy League, did you expect to?
Hey Worbo, to be honest I am completely shocked! I never expected to do that well.
One of the reasons I entered was to beat my boyfriend's team (All Star Wigan) and so far I'm doing pretty well on that one!
What is your secret to picking a winning team?
I spent a lot of money on 3 or 4 expensive players that I thought would be really reliable over the whole season, and whatever money was left i tried to budget for the rest of the team.
Out of the cheaper players most of them have done great. There have been a couple of flops though; a few players have let me down, Chimbonda in particular. It was a long month to wait before I could transfer him out! He is still messing things up even though he left a year ago!
Why the name X42?
To be honest it was the first thing that came into my head, I couldn't think of anything clever football-related, so I chose that because it was my team name in the PS2 game I was playing at the time!
Are you a Latics fan, if so how long, if not why not?
Yes I am, but only for the last 3 years or so. I'm from Belfast so I have supported Glentoran F.C since I was little, but I moved to England for Uni and my boyfriend is a massive Latics fan so I started going to games with him. (I still love the Glens though.)
Have you any tips for the no hopers like myself?
Sometimes the lesser known players can be hidden gems, like ones who have just been signed in the summer. For example Koumas, he hadn't really played in the prem much but he is a quality player, and was also cheap because he was relatively unknown at this level. I've taken some gambles and it's paid off, it's mostly down to luck!
I'd like to wish good luck to everybody in the fantasy league!
Thanks for those answers and good luck for the rest of the competition Jen and don't forget to give some of the regulars some stick on the Latics Speyk message board
Next up for the hot seat fantasy interview will be Holmsey the manager of the imaginatively named team Holmesy who have just gone top of the Latics Speyk fantasy league
Sorry Jen for the kiss of death
