Bramble Man of the Match

The voters on the last poll on Vital Wigan voted for Titus Bramble as Man of the Match in the game against Portsmouth

Titus by some way

The three main candidates, in an otherwise dour performance, were Bramble, Brown and Kilbane, Titus by some way was the winner

With the team as a whole under performing the defence needed to be on top form, unfortunately they weren`t and Portsmouth scored two late goals

Bramble in my opinion was the only player to come out of the game on the Latics side with credit, he put his body on the line time and again, he put his head in and cleared the line on numerous occasions

What the poll asked - Who was the MoM against Portsmouth

How you voted - Bramble 48%, Brown 14%, Kilbane 8%

Current Poll - With the result against Portsmouth not the one that was required the game at St.Andrews on Saturday against Birmingham takes on a lot of importance

Both teams are locked on 8 points with Birmingham having a slight GD advantage

If Latics were to lose this game then it would be difficult to respond positively with games against Chelsea and Arsenal coming up, but a victory would put the pressure firmly on Birmingham

It may still feel like early season but we are a quarter of the way through and points earned now make life easier when the final stages are upon us

Can we pull it off or are we likely to get another turning over - 'Who will win on Saturday?`

Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

The poll can be accessed on the right side of this page

Must win match for both clubs so I wouldnt imagine it to be an open game with flowing football more a cagey affair

That's desperate Titus your best player. I love his gloat about his best decision choosing Wigan over Pompey. I doubt if he would have got on the bench let alone played. Good luck with your relegation battle, sincerely hope you stay up.
