Sibierski gives Wigan the Blues

Wigan Athletic leading scorer Antoine Sibierski`s stop start season appears to be stopped again as we approach possibly the most crucial game of the season so far

Cant afford to lose

Sibierski, according to Latics boss Chris Hutchings, hasn`t trained all week and is rated extremely doubtful for Saturdays game at Birmingham, so we`ll take that as he is out then

With Heskey a definite none starter we are left with Bent and Aghahowa to run the front line in a game that the Latics need to win but Hutch cant afford to lose

A big let down

Chairman Dave Whelans comments this week about Saturdays performance against Portsmouth and the position we are in the league make interesting reading, he used phrases like 'very disappointing`, a 'big letdown`, 'I cant stand a team not giving 100%`.

These words suggest that Hutch is under pressure to start delivering where it matters, getting points out of games, especially games against teams in a similar position to ourselves

Ineffective forwards

With a lack of fire power for the game at St.Andrews will Hutch take the gamble of playing 4-4-2 and run the risk of ineffective forwards having little part in the game or will he go for the 4-5-1 formation that kept Manchester United quiet for 50 minutes earlier this month

I feel sorry for Hutchings, we have lost key players especially up front, but he did allow Henri Camara to leave on loan to West Ham for the season and he sold Caleb Folan to Hull, both, in my opinion, better options than what we currently have available

Saturday will be a big game for both Birmingham and the Latics but I feel that it will be significant in the future of Chris Hutchings as Latics boss, anything but a win and his days will surely be numbered

How big is Saturdays game?

Massive game for Hutch, but I cant see us winning, hope I am wrong but the best I feel we'll get is a draw, could be the end of this managers reign!
