Wigan in Must win game

Latics travel to Birmingham on Saturday and face a must win game, they can not afford to come second against the second cities second club

Birmingham City will look to this as a game that they should win and so are in a similar position to the Latics, they will be looking for maximum points

Sebastian Larsson, Birminghams Swedish midfielder, told the Birmingham Mail that they will be treating the game like a Cup Final and sees Birmingham and the Latics in a little league of their own

Larsson was away on international duty with Sweden team mate and Latics defender Andreas Granqvist last week but ended up in bed ill

He is now raring to go and cant wait to face the Latics saying that these are the games where Birmingham pick up points and he sees the match as an opportunity to propel Birmingham into the mid table safety zone

With so much at stake it is vital that Latics get something out of Saturday s match, we cant afford to fall into the bottom three so early in the season

Tough game but can Latics get something out of it?

I think we will need to score one goal to get at least a draw, trouble is cant see where that one goal is coming from
