Wigan Athletic manager Chris Hutchings could do with the skills he learned in a previous trade as his team prepare to face Chelsea this afternoon
Hutch was a bricklayer back in the late 1970s before being signed as a professional footballer by todays opponents Chelsea from non-league club Harrow, he went on to make 87 appearances for them.
Hutch claims he actually took a pay cut to sign for Chelsea and that they were a different club than they are today, there was a dog track round the pitch and the clubs ticket office was a porta-cabin.
Times have moved on and Chelsea are now a star studded team full of internationals and bang in form
With the pressure on Hutch following five defeats in his last five games his previous trade could be of use as 'bricking up` the goals might be the only way to stop Chelsea scoring
If we do lose today then Hutch may need the skills gained in his last 'civvi` job to stave off the sack
Before joining Bradford City as a coach and following his retirement as a player Chris Hutchings was a car salesman, how long was that warranty?
Can we pull off a shock today?
