Jewell no to Latics

Paul Jewell today revealed that he turned down a 'fabulous` offer to return to the JJB as manager of Wigan Athletic 6 months after leaving the club

That leaves three candidates and one strong possibility

The three candidates are Joe Royle, Graeme Souness who we all know about and Mike Newell who was at the club today

There have been lots of applications for Maurice Lindsay and John Benson to trawl through dismissing the likes of Steve Cotterill, and Steve Thompson

The strong possibility tonight is a manager already in a premiership post at relegation rivals Birmingham, none other than another former manager Steve Bruce

Bruce would fit in well with his mate and mentor John Benson

A guy on 5 live on Sunday said the board failed to meet Jewells wage demands.Bruce is a good manager I think and a much better option than the other candidates.
Pking
Pking thats rubbish. Jewell said on the same station he had turned down a fantastic offer to go back. People just make things up.

DeanoVilla
surprised Jewell turned you down, perhaps it's not good to go back though!

Probab;y wise to not get Jewell. He was looking seriously out of hi sdepth towards the end of last season so why would he come back now?
