Ist Half Summary Arsenal Wigan

All the way from New South Wales Latics fan sprayzen sums up what he thinks of the first 45 mins at the Emirates

Halftime and we have held together alright thanks to Bramble and Boyce, Bent whenever he gets any decent ball looks alright but problem is he is alone up front and because of this gets 2 Arsenal players around him straight away

Arsenal look like a frustrated team towards the last 15mins of the 2nd half which we started to get some good field possession

We had 2 good chances taking the close off side whcih bent put into the back of the net aside, a Hedaer from Bent was the best chance which just went over and Scharner from outside the box had an open shot which went high and wide

Arsenal have had numerous chances and could of been up by a few goals already, they didn't get a penalty early on, they have missed a few point blank shots which have gone wide or miles over the bar and then there has been at least 3 times they have sent the ball into the box only for the last man standing in Bramble and Boyce to dive and save the day

2nd half I would like to see some support up front for Bent, Brown needs to be taken off because he is a liabilty in defence with his sliding tackles from behind, we do lack speed out wide but Boyce and Bramble have been excellant for us

Hopefully we can frustrate Arsenal in the 2nd half and manage to sneak one in against the odds

Almost kept it up then fella's valiant effort. But like a lot of teams who come to our place, tierdness set in near the end after spending 80 minutes chasing the ball.

Cracking performance, bad substitution. While Olembe didn't look brilliant, he stuck to the task and we saw very little threat down our left flank. Where did the goals come from. Same old story. sort out the left side. Heskey shuold have replaced either Koumas or Bent, who both looked tired.

Agree we need to sort out the left, but I feel that Olembe is way out of his depth at this level
