Goals Scored

Giovani scored the quickest goal of the EPL so far, scoring it on the 30second mark from a massive mistake from Bramble

Scharner scored in the 25th minute after some great lead up work between Valencia, Bent and Koumas, the goal was great to watch

Wigan Negatives

- The goal scored by City, they have had only 1 shot on goal and that was it, Bramble has been great all year and its a shame he made the mistake

- We have turned the ball over too easy in the middle at times

Wigan Positives

- Our defence, whilst Bramble made that early mistake City have not had another shot on goal since

- Our attacking structure looks organised and direct, we have options up front 1st time for a long time this has happened

- Heskey and Bent dominating any arial attacks

- Koumas whilst missing a few is showing intent with everything he does, his interest is back and he looks very very keen

- Scharner looks good, has put on some nice balls and scored the goal which we needed

- Valencia is showing that if we can keep him on the park why we need to keep him at the club, his speed alone is a brilliant asset and he played apart in our goal and looked dangerous several other times

- Finally we look like a team for once, we are attacking with structure and options, when we are defending we do it as a group, for example Valencia turned the ball over but ran down to the LB position to apply pressure to get the ball back, the rest of the team are doing this as well.

The Bruce effect has made a positive effect so far in this match
