'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wigan fans Bruce is the right man

The majority voters on the last poll on Vital Wigan agreed that Steve Bruce is the right manager to lead Wigan Athletic

Choices

Of all the names that were linked with the job and the choices available to the club I believe that we have undoubtedly appointed the right guy

Steve Bruce has experience and he is a winner, hes brought in to the JJB a team of highly respected coaches in Eric Black and Keith Bertchin and he knows how to say the right thing

Yesterdays game against City saw a much more spirited performance from the Latics and we actually fought back after going a goal down with the players seemingly having more belief about themselves

He seems to speak honestly and passionately, his comments following the game were refreshing, lets hope that Bruce can keep the players fired up and build on this result

What the poll asked - Is Steve Bruce the right man to lead the Latics?

How you voted - Yes 65%, No 35%

Current Poll - Whilst we are talking about yesterdays game there were players who gave a bigger performance than they have done in recent weeks

Apart from his mistake at the start of the game Titus Bramble gave a heart and soul performance and once again was willing to put his body on the line, Paul Scharner, much criticised of late looked interested and put himself about and scored a good goal.

Jason Koumas had a good game before tiring and Denny Landzaat made more tackles than he previously done in his Latics career

Emerson Boyce looked good at centre back and Marcus Bent ran his socks off all game and gave a good all round performance.

These are my contenders but who would you choose as - 'Latics man of the match in the Man City game?` Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

The poll can be accessed on the right side of this page
