Emo Leaves The Latics

Wigan Athletic centre-back Emerson Thome has left the club by mutual consent.

The 34-year-old Brazilian was with the Latics for 18 months after leaving Bolton Wanderers on a free-transfer, but made only 20 appearances during his time at the JJB Stadium.

He only made 3 Carling Cup appearances this season and was loaned out to Derby County earlier in the season.
