Bent Man of the Match

The voters on the last poll on Vital Wigan opted for to make Marcus Bent the Man of the Match in last weekends eight goal thriller against Blackburn

Hat-trick hero

Bent turned out to be the match winner and hat-trick hero for the Latics scoring two second half goals to add to his 12th minute strike after the JJB men had squandered a three goal lead

There were other big performances in the game with Antonio Valencia, Denny Landzaat and Ryan Taylor standing out

Can you deny a man who gets a Hat-trick? The answer to that was no, Bent deserved his accolade not just for his goals but all round effort

What the poll asked - 'Latics man of the match in the in the Blackburn game?

How you voted - Marcus Bent 44%, Ryan Taylor 26%, Antonio Valencia 10%

Current Poll - Saturday sees another big game and potential six point encounter with a trip to the Cottage to face Fulham

Earlier in the season we managed a 1-1 draw against the Cottagers at the JJB courtesy of a Jason Koumas penalty, but the game will be remembered more for the injury to Emile Heskey after 5 minutes that had him out for near on three months

Funnily enough Heskey will be missing on Saturday following an ankle injury sustained in an innocuous looking challenge against Blackburn last weekend, though the Latics will be on a high having recorded their first win since August

So with the stakes high, two points separating the clubs and the previous meeting ending all square - 'Who will win on Saturday?`

Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

The poll can be accessed on the right side of this page
