Latics linked to Walters

Latics linked to Walters

Wigan Athletic are being linked with a £2 million bid for Ipswich Towns goal scoring winger Jonny Walters who has hit nine goals this season

Latics manager Steve Bruce, whose son plays in defence for Ipswich, was said to be tracking the Birkenhead born player when he was in charge of Birmingham

Walters, 24, is now playing for his ninth club after signing for the Tractor Boys last January for the fee of £150,000, so £2 million being quoted seems a little over the top

We are being linked to a whole host of previously unheard of players with possibly 95% just paper talk its trying to work out the 5% that is making life interesting at the moment

Yes he will do a job in the Premierhsip for any team. Dont be fooled by £150k, it was a bargain on our part. He could be worth up to £5 million.

He can't be that good if he's already played for nine clubs!
