Taylor better than Beckham

Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce has been very impressed with Ryan Taylor since taking over at the club and thinks his set-piece delivery is as good as David Beckham's.

Bruce reckons Taylor has been the catalyst to the Latics change of fortunes and described his set pieces the best hes seen but still doesn`t know what Taylors best position is.

The Latics manager said that hes been playing Taylor on the left wing even though he is a right full back and stated that Taylor can play almost anywhere

Bruce has certainly been impressed by the young Liverpudlian and he said that Taylor is a lovely lad who has become his favourite in the short time hes been at the Latics

He complemented Taylor on over coming two serious leg breaks in two years the last coming against Sheffield United on the last day of last season

Taylor has had no preseason and he has fought well to get his place back in the side and grabbed his chance with both hands, or should that be feet

According to Bruce, Taylor was out practicing his free kicks on Christmas Day and he was delighted that his practice paid off with the winning goal against Newcastle on Boxing Day

Bruce said that Taylors set pieces were as good as Beckhams but that Taylor hadn`t to get carried away because Beckham is better looking

Ugly or not its good to have Ryan Taylor back in the Latics team firing on all cylinders heres hoping that his injury nightmares are now behind him and he can go on and fullfill his potential and have a great career with the Latics

You lot are in for one hell of a shock with all this mightier than thou attitude...always thought Villa was a half decent club with good fans but you are full of bollox just like the rest of the big time Charlies

that was a good goal against newcastle. my second favorite team is newcastle and i was sad to see them concede a goal like that. shay has allowed to many free kicks to the back of the net.

Worbo i just think many Villa fans are very confident in the Villa team and especially playing away from home right now. Not full of it, just enjoying it. On paper we always looked like winning, we have come a long way since the time you beat us at Villa Park 2-0 a couple of seasons ago.

better than Beckham? Would that be now or when Beckham was in his prime?
