Pisano would love Wigan

Pisano would love Wigan

Setanta Sports Adam Marshall is reporting that former Latics defender Pasquale Bruno has contacted Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce in order to broker a deal to bring Eros Pisano to the JJB

Pisano is a 20 year old defender currently plying his trade for fallen Italian giants Pisa in Serie B, but it is the idea of Eros becoming a Wiganer that is most intriguing about this deal.

Eros is the Roman god of love and Wigan is certainly the place for finding love in the North West of England so Pisano should settle in very quickly if indeed he becomes a Latics player.

What does Wigan have to attract the Italian god of love?

Well firstly at the JJB itself there is the quaint little Italian restaurant Rigalettos.

On the Wigan Warriors (argh) official web site it declares: Rigalettos is a little bit of Italy at the heart of the JJB Stadium hmmm.

So Eros would feel at home there.

Now we know that the Italians love their music and Wigan has a vibrant music scene not only have we provided the world with The Verve and StarSailor but we also have Dave Whelans favourite music ensemble the Wigan Brass Band who are a real class act, no really.

If Eros loves his vino then he wont go wrong with Tescos finest and there are a few good label Chiantis to be found on the shelves of the local supermarkets.

But the love of the ladies is what Eros is all about and Wigan is the place to find some lovely ladies as a trip down King Street on any Friday or Saturday evening will testify.

Eros could pick himself up a lovely lady from one of the many bars and clubs, then take a Gondola down the Leeds/Liverpool canal under Seven Stars Bridge and as the moon lights up the water he could profess his love of Jodie from Norley and all things Wigan

Do you know Jodie from Norley?

Eros - so would he love your pies, I do! Or would he give you the elbow if you go down?
