Sunderland 0 Wigan 1 HT

Half time in a dreadful game at the Stadium of Light sees Latics winning 1-0 thanks to a Paul Scharner goal.

With one foot in the fourth round Latics will be hoping to see the game through without any more injuries and with Emile Heskey on the pitch it could well be his first 90 minutes since September
