Figueroa Joins Latics

Latics have signed Maynor Alexis Figueroa Róchez on a 6 month loan deal from Deportivo Olimpia

The 24yr old Defender, who can play Left-Back but is better served as a Left Center Back, has been strutting his stuff at training for the last few weeks and final clearance for the loan has been granted.

The 185cm, 76kgs defender is believed to be a creative and very technical player

His accolades include him being player of the year since 2000 for Olimpia, Honduras international and player of the year during the playoffs of 2002 and 2006, and he has also played in the UNFAF tournament of Central America for 4yrs.

Bruce who signed his 2nd Honduran in a week said 'We have got Maynor until the end of the season. It's difficult for a player from Honduras to make an impact in a short trial, but he has done very well and has been desperate to earn a contract.'
