Yapi Yapo close to joining Wigan

It is being reported that Wigan Athletic are close to signing Ivory Coast midfield player Giles Yapi Yapo from Young Boys of Switzerland.

Old friend and tipper off-er Arsne Wenger has recommended Yapi Yapo to Latics boss Steve Bruce and we have apparently agreed a fee of £2.5 million with his club

Yapi Yapo or Giles to his mates, is currently enjoying a good African Cup and he scored a belter in the week in the Ivory Coast`s game against Benin

Giles (now Im his mate), has also played for Nantes and Belgian club Beveren, could be seen has Bruces answer to replace the departed Denny Landzaat who the Latics inexplicably sold on Friday to Dutch side Feyenoord

Whatever happens Yapi Yapo would look good on the back of my Latics shirt
