Hagen to Wigan and hes a Big un

Wigan Athletic have announced the signing of Norway International defender Erik Hagen who joins the Latics on loan until the end of the season

The big defender has been playing in Russia with Zenit St Petersburg and at 32 he comes with a lot of experience

Latics boss Steve Bruce said "Erik is a player who lives to defend. He is an experienced defender and no stranger to the big occasion.

"He is aggressive, fantastic in the air and can read the game very well."

Hagen is known as Panzer and is over 6 feet tall and is a very aggressive player

There you have it, and I thought we needed a midfield player, ah well

Hagen is very good in the air and overall decent in defence. But he has two significant flaws - he's quite slow and fouls a bit too much in the penalty area. Anyway, I think he will fit well.

No, it's quite a long way from St. Petersburg to Wigan, I don't think I can make it. :)
