Heskey will Miss Swiss

Wigan Athletic and England centre forward Emile Heskey has been pulled out of Fabio Capellas first squad for the game on Wednesday against Switzerland with a nerve injury.

Heskey was substituted after 57 minutes of Latics win over West Ham today suffering from what appeared to be some sort of strain, after the match Latics boss Steve Bruce said:

'He has got a problem, a nerve problem I think it is, and I think it's a continuation of a big fella being out for three to four months,'

'He's getting little niggles, pulls and strains and we will be getting in touch with England but he will be pulling out without question.'

With Heskey missing the midweek action it is hoped that, with treatment, he can be fit for the massive match next Saturday against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

That's a real bummer, isn't it?
Aamir
It is for England and Heskey, hes been good for us and his presence in the team rubs off on the other players

Happened at a horrible time as far as his England future is concerned. A new coach who is prepared to give players like Heskey a chance and that happens.
Aamir
oh no, they'll call up Dave Kitson now :-)

Or, even worse, they'll find Andriy Shevchenko has an English Granny! :)

Is it me, or has Heskey been injured more times this season than I've had hot dinners?
