i doubt that it will be for the away fans as well, but when we play charlton, there home fans can get tickets for £6, £5 plus £1 towards charity. I think this is great and is something all football teams should do for 1 match a season

Would be annoyed if this offer wasn't extended to away fans as well.

Why would you be annoyed. They are supporting their own supporters.

It is like other fans being annoyed at us paying less for season tickets.

If we're seated in the same or equivalent area of the ground we must be charged the same as the home fans I think that's the rule

Why would you be annoyed. They are supporting their own supporters.

It is like other fans being annoyed at us paying less for season tickets.
What? So you would think it was fair if we started charging £15 for home end on the day tickets but all away tickets were £25?

Its called being fair.

Why do clubs reduce ticket prices? To attract more fans. So it stands to reason that when reducing prices, you reduce them in all areas of the stadium as you will also attract more away fans.

Even more so when away fans at the Valley are in the worst stand in the whole stadium.

Email to Charlton:

Hi Iain

I read with interest and admiration Charlton’s initiative to charge supporters just £6 pounds for a ticket for the game with ourselves, the other Latics

Could you confirm whether this offer will be extended to visiting supporters also as I am sure that many would fancy travelling down from Wigan for the game to take you up on such an hospitable offer

Yours in excited anticipation

Barry

Reply from Charlton:

Hi Barry,

Thanks for getting in touch.

We're finalising the details of the arrangements for away fans at the moment. We'll be in touch with Wigan very shortly and announce the prices together.

Cheers,
Iain
