Title Decider

So Manchester United today face their biggest game of the season, and who are the opponents standing in the way of United and another league title, why its Wigan Athletic.

That`s right Wigan Athletic, the Premier League side, the one that sits in 13th place in what is supposedly the best league in the world, so is it a no-contest?

If you listen to all the pundits and all the arrogant Man U fans then we need not turn up today because they have already won the title and battered us along the way.

The so called fans of the worlds biggest club have infiltrated the home sections of the JJB, a recipe for disaster in my opinion, they are idiots.

If Manchester United underestimate us, and I don`t for one minute think that Fergie will, they will come unstuck, we are not the team that they trounced 4-0 at Old Trafford back in October, we are stronger, organised and much more professional that that shadow of ourselves.

This is the last day of the season, a day when the Latics fans say thanks to THEIR team for the seasons hard work and a goodbye to some who may well be leaving lets hope that the idiots who follow Manchester United don`t have other ideas and spoil OUR day.

I remember the Carling Cup final and the appalling behaviour of so called United fans both during and after the game, but of course these things don`t get reported its never their fault, Rome?

Lets hope that there is no trouble today in Wigan and lets hope that the best team on the day gets what they deserve and then lets hope we all get home safely

Vital Quotes:

Latics chairman Dave Whelan:

"United`s players are used to big games, but their nerves will jangle. If Man U go two up, we`ll never get near them, but if we hold them to 0-0 or 1-0, then near the end the nerves will show."

Latics boss Steve Bruce:

"There`s been a great atmosphere in training and the players are looking forward to it because these are the games you want to be involved in. My players have performed under the pressure of relegation fantastically well. Now I hope they can perform with the pressure off. The world`s watching and we`ll try our best."

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson:

"All week, people have questioned the integrity of Wigan. No-one has even mentioned Bolton.

"Both teams are safe, relaxed and confident. But one can celebrate and the other is all keyed up to play against Manchester United. That difference in attitude amazes me."

"I said at the start of the season it might go to the wire"

"I am sorry I said that now but we are in the right position.

"If we win, we have won the league. That is a great incentive for us."

Wigan Athletic Team News:

Latics have three defenders out in Kilbane (back), Edman (knee) and Melchiot (groin)

Latics from:

Kirkland, Taylor, Scharner, Boyce, Valencia, Brown, Palacios, Koumas, Bent, Heskey, King, Sibierski, Skoko, Pollitt, Bramble, Figueroa, Hagen, Aghahowa, Olembe.

Player to watch: Wilson Palacios

Manchester United Team News:
