Latics Vs Everton Preview

Wigan Athletic go into the game against Everton needing at least a point to move out of the bottom 3

With the home form that the Latics have suffered this season lets hope that this game can be a turning point

Latics have never beaten Everton in Wigan now would be a good time to start

What the bosses say

Latics boss Steve Bruce

'Our home form has been the disappointing thing for us as you always want to perform in front of your own fans. Our best displays have been away from home.

'I think teams approach us differently now. They get men behind the ball and make it difficult for us. In the past they maybe thought there was an opportunity to get three points.

'We need to improve at home - that's how we stayed in the division last year. If we can turn that around we can look forward to a decent season.'

Everton boss David Moyes

'You can't take anything for granted in this league and we will have to play well if we are going to come away with the points.

'I think Wigan are a good side, I think they are strong and they work very hard.

'Steve Bruce has got himself a good group of players and the game will be hard, it always is against Wigan and against Steve's teams.'

I thought Zaki might be back tonight... seems to be conflicting reports but Hesks should be OK. Have a bad feeling about tonight but I'm targeting the WBA game to get our season back on track.
