Dundee United v Latics Preview

Wigan Athletic make the long trip north up to Tannadice this afternoon to face SPL side and Scottish Cup winners Dundee United in the last preseason friendly before the action starts for real next Saturday.

Following on from Wednesday`s game against Real Zaragoza the Latics will once again look to use most of their squad in todays match though it will be interesting to see if former United striker Jason Scotland is in the Latics ranks following his muted move to Ipswich being reported on SSN

Victor Moses and Hendry Thomas look set to feature from the start as they didn`t get a run out in midweek whilst Charles N`Zogbia maybe rested due to his inclusion in the France squad next week.

Latics boss Roberto Martinez has spoken about the different challenges that facing teams like Dundee United pose and he feels that the game is ideal preparation for the forthcoming Premier League season.

What The Boss Says:

'I think the way that Dundee play will give us a completely different situation that Real Zaragoza.
