Latics face local rivals Bolton this afternoon in what hopefully will be a cracking derby game unlike last season drab affair.
Both sides are in good form at the moment so enterprising football should be on the menu to brighten up what is a miserable October afternoon.
Latics boss Roberto Martinez will have the decision whether to stick with his starting eleven from last week, apart from Al-Habsi who isn`t available, or make changes as he seeks to continue the current unbeaten run of four games in all competitions.
Bolton boss Owen Coyle will need to make at least one change Ivan Klasnic, who scored last weeks last gasp winner against Stoke is suspended
Latics boss Roberto Martinez:
'The biggest strength Bolton possess is that stability they've worked hard for.
'You're looking at some key players in that squad who help maintain that; Kevin Davies, Johan Elmander who is bringing a new personal performance to Bolton this season, Lee Young-Cho who continues to be an influential player and players like Fabrice Muamba and Gary Cahill who bring even more strength to the team.'
Bolton boss Owen Coyle:
'We know Wigan are going to be dangerous'
'It was clear to see how dangerous they are going forward from just looking at the two goals from Charles N'Zogbia last weekend.
'But we're going there to get a result and we'll be confident, as we have been going into every game this season.'
Ali Halabsi cant play due to his loan conditions whilst both Steve Gohouri and Gary Caldwell are struggling to be ready for this game.
Latics probable:
Kirkland, Boyce, S. Caldwell, Alcaraz, Figueroa, N'Zogbia, Stam, Hendry McArthur, Gomes, Di Santo.
