Latics travel to the East Midlands this evening in round 2 of the Capital One Cup and without a doubt there will be quite a few changes in the starting eleven from Saturday`s win over Southampton
Some of the fringe players will get the nod tonight to impress, Boselli, Crusat, Fyvie and Watson will all probably start, though what will be the exact starting eleven is anyone`s guess
I am a bit old fashioned where the cups are concerned, I`d like to see us have a go, but I am realistic enough to know that, unless we get to the later stages, then we will be seeing very much weakened teams
With both sides set to make changes I feel we will have enough in the tank, just, to see our way through to round three
Latics boss Roberto Martinez:
'I wouldn't call it experimenting - but it is a great opportunity for us to share out the demands of the schedule with as many players as possible.'
It's an opportunity for some other players to show what they can do and show that they can have massive say this season.'
Forest boss Sean O'Driscoll:
'We've got to make sure that we maintain the standard and the organisation that has got us through games, but if we can blood one or two members of the squad then we definitely will.'
Marcus Tudgay and Guy Moussi will have late fitness tests, whilst Daniel Ayala is fit to return
Good striker, been around a while now but still knows where the goals are
Expect quite a few changes from Martinez, though I'd expect Beausejour to get a run to boost his fitnes
It would appear that Frase Fyvie will start and their should also be a place in the team for Albert Crusat and Mauro Boselli
A goal from our Argentine striker would mean all our forwards are off the mark this season
