Latics entertain Manchester United this afternoon hoping to build upon the great result at Aston Villa last time out, a result that pulled us out of the bottom three

The return of Ivan Ramis made a massive difference, not only to the defence but also the whole team, he is such an important player for us

Today will more than likely be the last for Arouna Kone before he jets off to the ACN tournament, hopefully the Ivory Coast international can leave us with a big game and a goal to remember him by

This fixture will of course stir up special memories of that night back in April when a Shaun Maloney goal gave us a great win, we were in the middle of a fantastic run of results that pulled the club away from the threat of relegation. Another full on performance is required today if we are to get anything from the game

United will be hoping to keep their seven point gap at the top of the Premier League intact and it promises to be a really exciting game of football
