Wimbledon AFC vs Wigan Athletic Match Preview

Wimbledon AFC
Wigan Athletic

Latics play Wimbledon AFC for the first time ever today. A win could see us seven points clear at the top of the league.

Wimbledon have struggled so far this season and sit near the foot of the table, so we will be expecting three points before a couple of tough-looking matches.

Last weeks win over Fleetwood was an important one, a professional job. We could have blown them away second half, but with the cup replay in mind I think Paul Cook was happy to see out the 2-0 win.

Wimbledon AFC Team News:

Egli Kaka is a major doubt, while Kwesi Appiah is also expected to miss out.

Player to watch: Lyle Taylor

Scored eight goals so far this season in a team struggling for goals.

Wigan Athletic Team News:

Ryan Colclough is out with illness, and Jamie Jones is still sidelined but will be back fit next week.

Player to watch: Will Grigg

Keeps threatening to hit form. Scored another two goals in Tuesday's win over AFC Fylde.

Match Prediction:

Wimbledon 0-3 Wigan. Jacobs, Grigg and Powell with the goals

Next Fixtures:

Oxford vs Latics
Latics vs Shrewsbury
Latics vs Charlton
