Wigan Athletic vs. Portsmouth

JJB Stadiu,

Latics Vs Portsmouth

Portsmouth arrive at the JJB this afternoon full of confidence.

They are currently sitting in fifth position in the table and looking to build on their early season form.

This will be a tough game for the Latics coming back off that second half mauling at Old Trafford, but one that we have got to win.

We are in grave danger of being 'sucked' into a relegation fight and need to keep up our good home form with a win here today

Wigan Athletic Team News:

Sibierski and Landzaat could return to the starting line up following recovery from injury

Melchiot remains a serious doubt with a thigh strain and Taylor could come in for him at right back

Player to watch: Jason Koumas

We need another big performance off our Wizzard from Wales

Portsmouth Team News:

Sol Campbell is Portsmouths only doubt but the big centre half should be fit to start

Player to watch: Benjani

Benjani always score against us and he is the divisions joint top goal scorer

Problem is storagematt they are coming up the Leeds/Liverpool canal and will get stuck under the foot bridges to be picked off by the Latics for a comfortable 2 niler home win ;)
