Back in the 1970`s a song by Nosmo King and The Javells hit the charts, Goodbye, Nothing To Say, and that basically sums up this match report.
For the second time in two months Wigan Athletic travelled to the Emirates and waved the white flag at Arsenal before the game had kicked off, the Gunners are good, but let`s show some bottle.
Our boss, who is a master of the positive, could find only one in this game, 'James McCarthy made the bench`, that sums it all up really.
Al-Habsi had a great game, again, for ten minutes at the start of the second half we had some possession, van Persie scored three goals and missed a penalty, Gary Caldwell was sent off, in the whole of the game the Latics mustered 3 attempts on goal with just one on target.
Here`s hoping we actually turn up on Tuesday

I think we will find it pretty rare for the rest of the season to have someone on such scintillating form as van Persie (with Fabregas to help) against us. I always thought that Arsenal's challenge last season faltered when van Persie was injured early on (though a certain team that beat them 3-2 also helped their demise).
And also on the plus side, with an anonymous Charlie and Hugo performance, who would want them atm? (And with Cleverley injured, perhaps it's less likely he'll be recalled, so we'll have him and Super-Mac and Victor all to come back.) I guess I'm more concerned about Arsenal wanting Ali next season! (At least we should have him for the rest of this one.)
