Zaki started his career at Al Mansoura Club and played in the Egyptian 1st division while he was 17.

On the international level, Zaki scored 27 goals in 48 games for National team and he won 2006 and 2008 African Cup Of Nations beside 2003 Youth African Cup of Nations, the three titles was under the coaching of Hassan Shehata.

Great things are expected of Zaki this season and if the promise bears fruit then he will become a permanent Latics player next June, fee already agreed with Zamalek
